Legal
Privacy
This is the privacy policy for Chronicles of Uruk: this site, and the game you play in your browser. It is a plain-language summary and will be expanded into a full policy, reviewed with counsel.
What we collect
When you create an account we store your email address, and the name or nickname you choose, which is optional and which the story uses to address you. We store your progress: the chronicles and chambers you have opened, where you stopped, and the choices the story remembers. Basic, privacy-respecting analytics run on the public pages only, to understand which pages are useful; the game itself loads no analytics and sets no analytics cookies.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal data.
Leaving, and removing your data
You can ask us to close your account and delete your data at any time, and we will. One exception, stated plainly in the terms: anything you published in a shared gallery stays published, with your account and your credited name taken off it.
Founding Expedition data
If you reserve a Founding Tablet or become one of the Uruk 777, we store what the founder features need: your email (for the reservation), your Tablet Number, an optional display name, and your chosen Hall privacy (public, anonymous, or sealed). You control your privacy tier and can change it any time in the game settings. If you submit a themed portrait, we store the image link you provide and its rendered version; it is reviewed before it can appear publicly, and you can remove it any time. A referral link records who invited whom, for recognition only. These clauses will be reviewed with counsel.
